Warning Notice: Danger Do Not UseCPG31
Description
Fully compliant with the latest edition of the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure (IGEM/G/11), the Atom Warning Notice: Danger Do Not Use (CPG31) consists of 25 certificate sets in A4 triplicate and is designed to record the identification of unsafe situations.
Guidance
In accordance with the latest Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure (IGEM/G/11), any part of an appliance/installation which is identified as ‘At Risk’ or ‘Immediately Dangerous’ must not be used until the situation has been resolved. Turning off the gas installation in certain circumstances will not reduce the risks involved and guidance must be followed on what course of action to take.
When an unsafe situation has been identified, a compliant warning notice must be left with the gas user and any relevant landlord/responsible person, and include the following:
- Details of the registered gas engineer who has identified the unsafe situation, including Gas Safe registration number and contact information.
- Name and address of the gas user.
- Name and address of the landlord/responsible person, where appropriate.
- Date the warning notice was issued.
- Details of the location of any appliance/installation identified as unsafe.
- Categorisation in according with Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure (At Risk or Immediately Dangerous).
- Actions undertaken (including notification to third parties).
- What is required to rectify the unsafe situation.
- Whether any RIDDOR situations exist and any subsequent reporting.
- Contact details of the Gas Emergency Services and Gas Safe Register.
- Definition of unsafe categories from Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure.
- Confirmation of warning notice issue by gas user and landlord/responsible person, where appropriate.
